Dorset Wedding, The Italian Villa
Natalie & Aldo’s Dorset Wedding at The Italian Villa
Natalie and Aldo are a very fun, down to earth couple who are fantastic together. You can see the love between them and just how much they mean to each other. There were no rules on their wedding day, just lots of laughter, smiles and playing games with all the kids that were there running around your feet! The Italian Villa is just a couple of minutes away from the beach, but given that just a few days before Natalie & Aldo’s wedding there were snow storms it hadn’t been planned on taking the trip down. However, they were very lucky and blessed with beautiful sunshine and spring warmth to enjoy the gardens. No venue is too far away and a lovely Dorset Wedding is a great excuse to go to that part of the country.
The Italian Villa
This was my first time at The Italian Villa and I would LOVE to go back soon. The grounds are beautiful and certainly require a lot more exploring.
The Italian Villa at Compton Acres is a multi award-winning wedding venue in Dorset and has the grandeur and scope to host the most memorable day of your life. Set within the beautiful gardens and grounds of Compton Acres, the elegant villa combines the ideal venue with a breath-taking location. This was one of the finest gardens built by Thomas William Simpson in 1924 and early pictures show evacuation work being carried out by hand with barrows of soil being pushed up on wooden planks to form the high banks around the garden. Symmetry and an elegant formality are the prime characteristics of the Italian Garden, which is arranged around the cross of the central ornamental lake, with its carved stone fountains, exquisitively coloured water lilies and flashing shoals of Koi Carp.
